Senate of Haiti
The Senate of Haiti is one of the two chambers of the Parliament of Haiti, the other being the Chamber of Deputies. It is responsible for making laws, approving budgets, and overseeing the executive branch. The Senate consists of 30 members who serve six-year terms, with half of the seats up for election every three years.
Senators are elected by the citizens of Haiti through a direct voting process. The Senate plays a crucial role in the country's governance, providing checks and balances on the power of the President of Haiti and ensuring that the interests of the Haitian people are represented.
