Self-Combustion
Self-combustion, also known as spontaneous human combustion (SHC), refers to the phenomenon where a human body allegedly catches fire without an external ignition source. This rare occurrence has been reported in various cases, often leaving behind little evidence of how the fire started. Theories suggest that factors like high body fat, alcohol consumption, or certain medical conditions may contribute to this phenomenon.
Despite numerous claims, scientific explanations for self-combustion remain limited. Investigations often point to the presence of an external ignition source, such as a cigarette or an open flame, rather than a true spontaneous event. Cases of self-combustion continue to intrigue both the public and researchers, leading to ongoing debates about its validity.
