Sekani
Sekani is a First Nations people located in British Columbia, Canada. They are part of the larger Dene cultural group and primarily inhabit the area around the Finlay River. The Sekani people have a rich history and are known for their traditional practices, including hunting, fishing, and gathering.
The Sekani language is part of the Athabaskan language family, which is spoken by several Indigenous groups in North America. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and revitalize the Sekani language and culture, as younger generations work to maintain their heritage in a modern context.
