Seine Nets
Seine nets are large fishing nets that are used to catch fish in shallow waters. They consist of a long net with floats on the top and weights on the bottom, allowing the net to hang vertically in the water. Fishermen typically deploy these nets from boats or from the shore, encircling schools of fish and then drawing the net closed.
The design of seine nets allows for the capture of various fish species, including herring, mackerel, and anchovies. They are commonly used in commercial fishing and can also be employed in recreational fishing. Seine nets are effective for catching large quantities of fish quickly and efficiently.
