Seine Fishing
Seine fishing is a method used to catch fish by employing a large net called a seine. This net is typically set in a circular or semi-circular shape and is designed to encircle schools of fish. Fishermen then pull the net closed, trapping the fish inside. Seine fishing can be done from boats or from the shore, depending on the location and target species.
There are different types of seine nets, including beach seines and purse seines. Beach seines are used in shallow waters, while purse seines are often deployed from larger vessels in deeper waters. This technique is effective for catching various fish species, including tuna and herring.
