Second Star of Africa
The "Second Star of Africa" is a famous diamond, also known as the Cullinan II. It weighs 66.6 carats and is part of the British Crown Jewels. Discovered in 1905 in South Africa, it was originally a larger diamond called the Cullinan Diamond, which weighed an impressive 3,106 carats.
After being cut from the original diamond, the Second Star of Africa was presented to King Edward VII. It is now set in the Imperial State Crown, which is used during the coronation of British monarchs. The diamond is renowned for its clarity and brilliance, making it one of the most celebrated gemstones in history.
