Sea Harrier
The Sea Harrier is a naval fighter aircraft developed by the British company Hawker Siddeley in the 1970s. It is known for its vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities, allowing it to operate from aircraft carriers without the need for long runways. The Sea Harrier was primarily used by the Royal Navy and played a significant role during the Falklands War in 1982.
Equipped with advanced avionics and weapons systems, the Sea Harrier could engage in air-to-air combat and ground attack missions. Its design features a distinctive nose and wings that can pivot, enhancing its maneuverability. The aircraft was retired in 2006, marking the end of its operational service.
