British Aerospace
British Aerospace, often referred to as BAe, was a major British company involved in the aerospace and defense industries. Founded in 1977, it played a significant role in manufacturing military and commercial aircraft, as well as providing various defense systems. The company was known for its contributions to iconic aircraft like the BAe 146 and the Harrier Jump Jet.
In 1999, British Aerospace merged with Marconi Electronic Systems to form BAE Systems, which is now one of the largest defense contractors in the world. The merger allowed the company to expand its capabilities and enhance its position in the global aerospace market.
