Savitri Devi
Savitri Devi was a French writer and political activist born on September 30, 1905, in Lyon, France. She is best known for her advocacy of Hinduism and her promotion of Nazism, which she combined in her writings. Devi's most notable work, "The Lightning and the Sun," published in 1958, presents her views on Hitler and the concept of a divine mission for the Aryan race.
Throughout her life, Savitri Devi traveled extensively, particularly in India, where she developed a deep appreciation for Hindu culture. She became involved in various nationalist movements and was a prominent figure in the post-World War II far-right scene. Her controversial ideas continue to influence certain extremist groups today.
