Sauroposeidon was a massive dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 110 million years ago. It belonged to the group of long-necked dinosaurs known as sauropods. Fossils suggest that it could reach lengths of up to 120 feet, making it one of the tallest dinosaurs ever discovered.
This dinosaur is known for its long neck, which allowed it to reach high vegetation for feeding. Sauroposeidon likely weighed between 40 to 60 tons, and its large size helped it deter predators. Its name means "lizard earthquake," reflecting its impressive stature and the impact it would have had on its environment.
