Sauria
Sauria is a clade that includes all lizards and snakes, which are part of the larger group known as reptiles. This group is characterized by their scaly skin, cold-blooded metabolism, and ability to lay eggs. Sauria is often divided into two main subgroups: Lacertilia, which includes lizards, and Serpentes, which includes snakes.
Members of Sauria can be found in various habitats around the world, from deserts to forests. They play important roles in ecosystems as both predators and prey. Some species, like the Komodo dragon, are known for their size and unique adaptations, while others, like chameleons, are famous for their color-changing abilities.
