Saturn Nebula
The Saturn Nebula, also known as NGC 7009, is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquarius. It is named for its resemblance to the planet Saturn, featuring a bright central star surrounded by a ring-like structure. The nebula is approximately 19,000 light-years away from Earth and has a diameter of about 1 light-year.
This nebula is formed from the outer layers of a dying star that has shed its material, creating a glowing shell of gas and dust. The central star, which is in the later stages of its life cycle, emits ultraviolet radiation that ionizes the surrounding gas, causing it to emit light in various colors.
