Sardinian Mouflon
The Sardinian Mouflon is a wild sheep species native to the Mediterranean islands of Sardinia and Corsica. It is characterized by its curved horns, which are more prominent in males, and a thick, woolly coat that varies in color from brown to gray. This species is well-adapted to rocky terrains and is often found in mountainous regions.
Sardinian Mouflons primarily feed on grasses, shrubs, and herbs. They are social animals, typically living in small groups. Due to habitat loss and hunting, their populations have declined, leading to conservation efforts aimed at protecting this unique species in its natural habitat.
