Sarawat Mountains
The Sarawat Mountains are a mountain range located in western Saudi Arabia. They stretch approximately 1,200 kilometers from the northern region near Tabuk to the southern area near Asir. The mountains are known for their rugged terrain, deep valleys, and diverse ecosystems, which include various plant and animal species.
These mountains play a significant role in the climate of the region, as they capture moisture from the prevailing winds, leading to increased rainfall in the surrounding areas. The Sarawat Mountains are also home to several important cities, including Abha and Khamis Mushait, which are popular tourist destinations due to their scenic beauty and cultural heritage.
