Sapium Sebiferum
Sapium sebiferum, commonly known as the Chinese tallow tree, is a deciduous tree native to eastern Asia. It typically grows between 15 to 30 feet tall and features heart-shaped leaves that turn vibrant colors in the fall. The tree produces small, white flowers in spring, followed by clusters of seeds encased in a three-lobed capsule.
This species is often used for ornamental purposes and can be found in parks and gardens. However, Sapium sebiferum is considered invasive in some regions, particularly in the southern United States, where it can outcompete native vegetation and disrupt local ecosystems.
