Sanjay Gandhi
Sanjay Gandhi was an Indian politician and the son of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Born on December 14, 1946, he played a significant role in Indian politics during the 1970s. He was known for his controversial policies, particularly during the Emergency period from 1975 to 1977, when his influence grew significantly.
Sanjay was instrumental in promoting family planning initiatives and urban development projects. However, his methods often faced criticism for being authoritarian. Tragically, he died in a plane crash on June 23, 1980, at the age of 33, leaving behind a complex legacy in Indian political history.
