Sanford B. Dole
Sanford B. Dole was an American lawyer and politician born on April 23, 1844, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He played a significant role in the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy in 1893 and subsequently became the first President of the Provisional Government of Hawaii. Dole was a key figure in the annexation of Hawaii by the United States in 1898.
Dole was also involved in the establishment of the Republic of Hawaii, serving as its first president from 1894 until 1900.
