Sancho II of León
Sancho II of León, also known as Sancho II of Castile, was a king who ruled from 1065 to 1072. He was the son of Ferdinand I of León and Sancha of León. Sancho II is known for his efforts to consolidate power in the Kingdom of León and for his conflicts with his brothers, particularly Alfonso VI of León, who would later become a prominent figure in the region.
His reign was marked by internal strife and military challenges, including battles against the Moors in the Iberian Peninsula. Sancho II's rule ended when he was overthrown and killed, leading to a period of instability in León and the eventual rise of his brother Alfonso VI.
