Samus Returns is a side-scrolling action-adventure video game developed by MercurySteam and published by Nintendo. Released in 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS, it is a remake of the 1991 game Metroid II: Return of Samus. Players control Samus Aran, a bounty hunter, as she explores the planet SR388 to eliminate the dangerous Metroids.
