Samora Machel
Samora Machel was a prominent Mozambican revolutionary leader and politician. He served as the first President of Mozambique from 1975 until his death in 1986. Machel was a key figure in the struggle for independence from Portuguese colonial rule and was a founding member of the Mozambican Liberation Front (FRELIMO).
