Salyut program
The Salyut program was a series of Soviet space stations launched between 1971 and 1986. It aimed to develop and test technologies for long-duration space missions, conduct scientific research, and support military objectives. The program included several missions, with notable stations like Salyut 1, the first space station ever launched.
The Salyut program consisted of both civilian and military missions, with some stations designed for scientific experiments and others for reconnaissance. The program laid the groundwork for future space exploration, influencing later projects such as the Mir space station and the International Space Station (ISS).
