Salyut 5
Salyut 5 was a Soviet space station launched on June 22, 1976. It was part of the Salyut program, designed for military reconnaissance and scientific research. The station operated in low Earth orbit and was equipped with various instruments to gather data and conduct experiments.
The mission of Salyut 5 lasted until August 1977, during which it was visited by two crewed missions, Soyuz 21 and Soyuz 24. The station was notable for its advanced technology and capabilities, contributing valuable information to the field of space exploration before it was deorbited in 1990.
