Saltaire
Saltaire is a Victorian model village located in West Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1851 by Sir Titus Salt, a wealthy industrialist, to provide housing and amenities for workers in his nearby textile mill. The village is known for its distinctive architecture, featuring stone houses, a church, and a school, all designed in a cohesive style.
In 2001, Saltaire was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its historical significance and well-preserved buildings. Today, it attracts visitors who come to explore its rich industrial heritage, including the Salts Mill, which now houses art galleries, shops, and restaurants.
