Salt Extraction
Salt extraction is the process of obtaining salt from natural sources, primarily through mining or evaporation. The most common method involves evaporating seawater in shallow ponds, allowing the sun and wind to remove the water, leaving behind salt crystals. This method is often used in coastal areas where seawater is abundant.
Another method of salt extraction is mining rock salt, which is found underground in large deposits. Miners extract the salt using traditional mining techniques or solution mining, where water is injected into the salt deposit to dissolve it, and the resulting brine is then evaporated to obtain pure salt.
