Salat al-Janazah
Salat al-Janazah is the Islamic funeral prayer performed for deceased Muslims. It is a collective prayer, usually held in a mosque or an open area, where the community gathers to pay their respects. The prayer consists of four Takbirs (saying "Allahu Akbar") and is recited without any physical prostration or bowing.
The purpose of Salat al-Janazah is to seek forgiveness and mercy for the deceased, as well as to express solidarity with the grieving family. It emphasizes the importance of community support during times of loss and serves as a reminder of the transient nature of life.
