Saint Vitus
Saint Vitus is a Christian martyr and one of the most venerated saints in the Catholic Church. He is believed to have lived in the 4th century and is often depicted as a young boy, sometimes accompanied by a lion. His feast day is celebrated on June 15, and he is the patron saint of dancers, actors, and the sick.
The name "Saint Vitus" is also associated with Saint Vitus' Dance, a historical term for a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary movements. This condition, now known as Sydenham's chorea, was thought to be caused by a supernatural influence, reflecting the saint's connection to healing and protection.
