Saint Sava of Serbia
Saint Sava of Serbia was a prominent medieval figure, born in 1175 as Saint Sava in the region that is now Serbia. He was the youngest son of Stefan Nemanja, the founder of the Serbian state. Sava became a monk and later the first Archbishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church, playing a crucial role in establishing the church's independence and promoting education and culture.
