Saint Richard of Wyche
Saint Richard of Wyche was a 13th-century English bishop known for his piety and dedication to the church. Born around 1197 in Wych, England, he became the Bishop of Chichester in 1245. Richard was recognized for his efforts to reform the clergy and improve the spiritual life of his diocese.
He is often remembered for his humility and commitment to serving the poor. After his death in 1253, he was canonized by Pope Urban IV in 1262. His feast day is celebrated on April 16, and he is regarded as a patron saint of sick people and sailors.
