Saint Marguerite of Scotland
Saint Marguerite of Scotland, also known as Saint Margaret, was born around 1045 in Hungary. She was a member of the royal family and became the queen consort of King Malcolm III of Scotland after their marriage in 1070. Marguerite was known for her piety, charitable works, and efforts to reform the Scottish church.
Throughout her life, Saint Marguerite focused on education and the welfare of her people. She established monasteries and promoted the Christian faith in Scotland. She passed away in 1093 and was canonized by Pope Innocent IV in 1250, recognized for her dedication to faith and service.
