Saint Leopold
Saint Leopold, also known as Saint Leopold III, was a 12th-century nobleman and the Duke of Austria. He is recognized for his piety and dedication to the Christian faith, as well as his efforts in promoting peace and justice in his realm. Leopold was known for his charitable works, particularly towards the poor and the sick.
He was canonized by the Catholic Church in 1485, and his feast day is celebrated on November 15. Saint Leopold is the patron saint of Austria and is often depicted in religious art wearing a ducal crown and holding a model of a church, symbolizing his commitment to both governance and faith.
