Saint Julie Billiart
Saint Julie Billiart was a French nun and the founder of the Congregation of Notre Dame. Born on July 12, 1751, in Cuvilly, France, she faced many hardships, including illness and the challenges of the French Revolution. Despite these obstacles, she dedicated her life to education and the spiritual development of young girls.
In 1804, she established the Congregation of Notre Dame to provide education and support to those in need. Saint Julie was canonized by Pope Pius XI on January 22, 1951, and her feast day is celebrated on April 8. She is recognized for her deep faith and commitment to serving others.
