Saint Dominic Savio
Saint Dominic Savio was a young Italian student and a follower of Saint John Bosco, known for his deep faith and commitment to God. Born on April 2, 1842, in Riva di Chieri, Italy, he became a model of Christian virtue at a young age. He joined the Salesian Society, founded by Saint John Bosco, which focused on the education and spiritual development of youth.
Dominic was known for his joyful spirit and dedication to helping others. He died at the age of 14 on March 9, 1857, and was canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1954. His feast day is celebrated on May 6, inspiring many young people to live a life of faith and service.
