Saint Dagmar
Saint Dagmar, also known as Dagmar of Denmark, was a Danish queen born around 1186. She was the daughter of King Valdemar II of Denmark and became the wife of King Valdemar II of Denmark. Dagmar is remembered for her piety and compassion, often helping the poor and sick during her reign.
After her death in 1212, Dagmar was canonized as a saint due to her virtuous life and the miracles attributed to her. Her feast day is celebrated on May 24, and she is regarded as a patron saint of Denmark and Norway, symbolizing hope and charity.
