Saint Adalbert of Prague
Saint Adalbert of Prague was a 10th-century bishop and missionary known for his efforts to spread Christianity in Central Europe. Born around 956, he became the Bishop of Prague and worked to reform the church and promote education. His dedication to his faith led him to travel to various regions, including Hungary and Germany, to strengthen Christian communities.
Adalbert faced challenges, including opposition from local rulers. He was eventually martyred in 997 while on a missionary journey in Prussia. His legacy endures, and he is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church, with his feast day celebrated on April 23.
