Sabretooth
The Sabretooth is a prehistoric carnivorous mammal known for its long, curved canine teeth. It lived during the Pleistocene epoch, approximately 2.5 million to 10,000 years ago. This species is often associated with the genus Smilodon, which is one of the most famous saber-toothed cats. They were powerful predators, primarily hunting large herbivores like bison and mammoths.
Sabretooths had a robust build, with strong forelimbs and a muscular body, allowing them to take down prey effectively. Their distinctive teeth were adapted for delivering deep bites, making them efficient hunters. Fossils of Smilodon have been found in North America and South America, providing insight into their behavior and environment.
