Sabre Fencing
Sabre fencing is a fast-paced and dynamic form of fencing where competitors use a lightweight, cutting weapon called a sabre. Unlike other fencing styles, points can be scored by hitting the opponent with the edge of the blade, as well as the tip. The target area includes the upper body, head, and arms, making it a more aggressive and strategic sport.
In sabre fencing, bouts are typically conducted in three rounds, each lasting three minutes. Fencers wear protective gear, including a mask, jacket, and gloves, to ensure safety during matches. The sport emphasizes speed, agility, and tactical thinking, making it exciting for both participants and spectators.
