Sabina Spielrein
Sabina Spielrein was a Russian psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, born in 1885. She is known for her early contributions to the field of psychology, particularly her work on the relationship between sexuality and aggression. Spielrein was one of the first female psychoanalysts and had a significant influence on the development of Carl Jung's theories.
Spielrein's life was marked by her complex relationship with Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, both of whom were prominent figures in psychoanalysis. She became a pioneer in exploring the dynamics of the human psyche, and her writings contributed to the understanding of psychosexual development. Tragically, she was killed during the Holocaust in 1942.
