Sabellius
Sabellius was a theologian in the early Christian church, known for his views on the nature of God. He proposed a belief called Modalism, which suggested that God is a single entity who reveals Himself in different forms or modes, rather than as three distinct persons as in the traditional Christian doctrine of the Trinity.
His teachings were considered controversial and were ultimately deemed heretical by many church leaders. The debates surrounding Sabellius and his ideas contributed to the development of early Christian theology and the formalization of beliefs about the nature of God and the relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
