Sabah Al-Ahmad
Sabah Al-Ahmad was the 15th Emir of Kuwait, serving from January 29, 2006, until his death on September 29, 2020. He was known for his diplomatic efforts and played a significant role in regional politics, promoting peace and stability in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Born on June 16, 1929, Sabah Al-Ahmad was a member of the Al-Sabah royal family. Before becoming Emir, he held various governmental positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, where he served for over 40 years. His leadership was marked by a focus on economic development and social reforms in Kuwait.
