SR-71 Blackbird
The SR-71 Blackbird is a long-range, advanced reconnaissance aircraft developed by the Lockheed Corporation in the 1960s. Known for its incredible speed and altitude capabilities, it could fly at over 2,200 miles per hour and reach altitudes of 85,000 feet. This made it difficult for enemy defenses to target and intercept.
Equipped with sophisticated cameras and sensors, the SR-71 gathered intelligence during the Cold War. Its design featured a sleek, aerodynamic shape and was made from special materials to withstand extreme temperatures. The aircraft was retired in the late 1990s, but it remains an iconic symbol of aviation technology.
