SIDA
SIDA, or Syndrome d'Immunodéficience Acquise, is the French term for AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). It is a serious condition caused by the HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), which attacks the body's immune system, making it difficult to fight off infections and diseases. Without treatment, HIV can progress to AIDS, leading to severe health complications.
People with SIDA may experience a range of symptoms, including fatigue, weight loss, and recurrent infections. While there is currently no cure for SIDA, antiretroviral therapy (ART) can help manage the virus, allowing individuals to live healthier lives and reducing the risk of transmission to others.
