S-75 Dvina
The S-75 Dvina, also known by its NATO reporting name SA-2 Guideline, is a Soviet-designed surface-to-air missile system developed in the 1950s. It was primarily used to target high-altitude aircraft and played a significant role during the Cold War. The system features a radar-guided missile that can engage enemy aircraft at ranges of up to 30 kilometers.
The S-75 Dvina gained notoriety for its effectiveness during the Vietnam War, where it was used by North Vietnamese forces to shoot down several American aircraft, including the famous F-4 Phantom. Its design influenced many subsequent missile systems and remains a notable example of Cold War military technology.
