Rwenzori
The Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon, are a mountain range located on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. They are renowned for their stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and unique flora and fauna. The range includes several peaks, with the highest being Margherita Peak, which rises to 5,109 meters (16,763 feet).
The Rwenzori Mountains are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for their rich biodiversity and glacial features. The area is home to various wildlife, including the endangered Rwenzori colobus monkey and several species of birds. The mountains attract hikers and climbers, offering challenging trails and breathtaking views.
