Ruth Noddack
Ruth Noddack was a German chemist born on February 20, 1893. She is best known for her work in the field of nuclear chemistry and for being one of the first scientists to propose the existence of element 93, which is now known as neptunium. Noddack made significant contributions to the understanding of the periodic table and the behavior of elements.
In addition to her research, Noddack was a pioneer for women in science during a time when the field was predominantly male. She earned her doctorate in chemistry and co-discovered the element rhenium in 1925, further establishing her legacy in the scientific community.
