Rudolf Hess was a prominent German politician and a leading member of the Nazi Party. Born on April 26, 1894, he served as Adolf Hitler's deputy and was known for his close association with the Nazi regime. Hess played a significant role in the party's rise to power in the 1930s.
In 1941, during World War II, Hess made a solo flight to Scotland in an attempt to negotiate peace with the United Kingdom. His mission was unsuccessful, and he was captured. After the war, he was tried at the Nuremberg Trials and sentenced to life imprisonment, where he remained until his death in 1987.
