Royal Family of Serbia
The Royal Family of Serbia is a historical monarchy that has played a significant role in Serbian history. The family claims descent from the medieval Nemanjić dynasty, which ruled Serbia from the 12th to the 14th centuries. The modern royal family was established in the 19th century with the reign of Prince Mihailo Obrenović and later the Karađorđević dynasty.
Today, the family is represented by Crown Prince Alexander, who is the head of the royal house. Although Serbia is now a republic, the royal family remains active in cultural and charitable activities, promoting Serbian heritage and supporting various social causes.
