Rosca de Reyes
Rosca de Reyes is a traditional pastry celebrated in many Spanish-speaking countries on January 6th, known as Three Kings' Day. This sweet bread is shaped like a ring and often decorated with candied fruits, symbolizing the jewels of the Three Wise Men. Inside the rosca, a small figurine, usually representing the baby Jesus, is hidden.
The person who finds the figurine in their slice is expected to host a gathering or provide tamales on February 2nd, known as Candlemas. This custom fosters community and family bonding, making the rosca a cherished part of the holiday festivities.
