Rook (Bird)
The Rook is a medium-sized bird belonging to the crow family, known scientifically as Corvus frugilegus. It has a distinctive black plumage with a slightly shaggy throat and a long, pointed bill. Rooks are often found in open fields, farmlands, and near human settlements, where they forage for insects, seeds, and small animals.
These birds are highly social and often gather in large flocks, especially during the breeding season. Rooks build their nests in trees or tall structures, creating large colonies. They are known for their intelligence and problem-solving abilities, similar to other members of the Corvidae family.
