Ronald Searle
Ronald Searle was a British cartoonist and illustrator, born on March 3, 1920, in Cambridge, England. He is best known for his distinctive and often humorous drawings, which frequently featured exaggerated characters and satirical commentary. Searle's work appeared in various publications, including Punch and The New Yorker, and he created iconic series such as St. Trinian's.
During World War II, Searle was a prisoner of war in Japan, an experience that influenced much of his later work. After the war, he continued to gain recognition for his artistic style, which combined wit and a keen observation of human behavior. Searle passed away on December 30, 2011.
