Ron Zacapa
Ron Zacapa is a premium rum produced in Guatemala, known for its rich flavor and smooth finish. Established in 1976, it is made from sugarcane honey, which is the syrup extracted from the sugarcane, rather than molasses. The rum is aged in a unique solera system, where younger rums are blended with older ones, creating a complex and balanced taste.
The aging process takes place at high altitudes, around 2,300 meters above sea level, which contributes to its distinctive character. Ron Zacapa is often enjoyed neat or in cocktails, and it has received numerous awards for its quality and craftsmanship.
